Improving Trauma Care Worldwide

Leaders Elected for ITLS European Regional Forum

ITLS is excited to announce the launch of a new Regional Forums program for chapters and training centres. The program is designed to improve communication among ITLS chapters and training centres and to provide an avenue for mentoring and development of new ITLS leaders and programs.

Europe has been selected to serve as the pilot region for the new program. All ITLS chapter and training centre coordinators and medical directors in the region are invited to participate.

The European Regional Forum has met twice and has elected its leadership at the most recent meeting. Kyee Han, MBBS, FRCS, FRCEM, of England, has been elected Chair. Antonio Requena Lopez, MD, of Spain, has been elected Vice Chair.

ITLS has grown rapidly across the globe since its founding in Alabama in 1982. ITLS now has 85 chapters and 20 training centres in over 80 countries around the world. ITLS manuals have been translated into 12 languages with more in development. The breath and width of the ITLS network is great and there is a need to connect both individuals and ITLS programs within geographic areas.
