First ITLS Courses Conducted in Iraq

Security personnel at a U.S. contractor camp in Iraq practice insertion of a multi-lumen airway during an ITLS Basic course.

Participants learn to immobilize the C-spine as part of the ITLS training provided at Camps Basrah, I.Z., and Kanun in Baghdad.

ITLS courses are conducted at the contractor camps in order to provide all security personnel, who are typically the first responders to any trauma, with common knowledge and skills for trauma response.

ITLS Unveiling
